I'm officially seventeen.
Or, as Sti likes to put it, sexy seventeen.
Yesterday was my birthday. I'm not as joyous as I used to be about my birthday. I remember being really tiny, and waking up with butterflies because I was a whole year older. And anticipating the cake and the hugs and the presents. It was the one day of the year entirely laid out for me. One day that I could feel special on.
I remember when I turned five, I was probably the most excited in my life. Being five was amazing! To me, being five meant that you would do two things: start kindergarten, and go to Disney World. Where I got the second idea I have no idea, but I thought every child went to Disney World on their fifth birthday. Starting kindergarten meant I was a big girl. I had already done school for two years, but kindergarten meant that I was going to enter the ranks of official school-hood. Turning five was monumental.
Now, it's just like, ehh, another birthday, scratch off another year.
What did I get? A new cell phone, a digital camera, and some comptuer games. Don't think that I'm being unthankful at all! I couldn't believe my eyes when I opened the camera box. It was the least thing I was expecting. And a Canon no less. I'm so thankful for my parents' generosity. Rarely does a day go by that I don't thank them.
Joe gave me a beautiful heart-shaped necklace. It's so pretty, and so delicate. I absolutely love it. He always knows the perfect things to buy. I love him more each and every day. His birthday's tomorrow, so we're all stoked about that. Today was the only day of the year that I'm older than him.
Today was nothing special. Three hours of playing Pandora's Box, followed by Moulin Rouge, Cheaper by the Dozen, and half of School of Rock.
I swear, I become lazier by the minute. P.S. Just proves I should be a publisher...

You are a GRAMMAR GOD!
If your mission in life is not already to
preserve the English tongue, it should be.
Congratulations and thank you!
How grammatically sound are you?
