All That Jazz

C'mon babe,
Why don't we paint the town,
And all that jazz.

Needless to say, we didn't have school off yesterday. I had to slip-slide my way to school...ugh.

Anyway, yesterday night was really fun. Most of the group went over to hang at Sti's house, to watch movies, the usual. Unfortunately, due to low attention spans, I never actually get to the whole movie that we're watching. Somebody always pops in a new DVD, and it's like, umm...okay!

We started out with the Drive-Thru Records DVD, then swtiched to the Matrix. I've never seen that blockbuster, but there was no way I was going to concentrate on it while everyone was merely mulling around, talking. When Ash and Len arrived, they brought over Chicago and RHPS. I actually started getting into Chicago...I didn't know it was going to be so good. Seriously, it was really good. If you haven't seen it, go out and rent it. I normally don't like Richard Gere, but it's so good on so many levels. If you like Moulin Rouge (another gorgeous musical/move) then you have to see Chicago.

Due to jittery minds, we took it out after the Cell-Block Tango (which I thought was an excellent musical number). And then, RHPS came on. I'm basically a virgin to the movie, having only seen it once before, but it really is funny. That...er, got interrupted for "other reasons," and then I had to leave with Joe.

The reason why I gave that account of various movies and the like is that I'm discovering more and more that I have an affinity for the silver screen. I really enjoy watching movies, much more than TV. It's a revelation that's come to me only in the past month.

For example, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind just came out, and if I was 17, I would more than likely have already dragged Joe to go. I have to wait a month though...I'm crossing my finger that it'll still be out. I'm so young-looking that they'd immediately check ID on the both of us, so it's not worth it.
