Another long, agonizing week has gone by. Overall, it's been pretty stressful, and last night was the first night that I actually slept.
Monday and Tuesday were hell. I had double migraines, along with a medical problem that had my best friend near tears, my mom about to throw up, and my boyfriend scared to death. Everything is okay now, the nervousness is over, but it was still extremely scary. Thank God that everything's okay, that's all I can say. And thanks to those who supported me and showed so much compassion. I seriously love you all, especially my parents, Joe, and Sti. Seriously, you guys got me through this.
Wednesday was an extremely long day. I went from school to the Met Opera House to see La Traviata. Lemme say something: it was the best, probably one of the most amazing shows I've seen next to Beauty and the Beast on Broadway. It was my first opera, so I was really skeptical. We were sitting in the nosebleed section: the second to last row out of the whole opera house. And if you've ever been in the Met, it's about 9 stories up. The people on stage were the size of dolls, but the singing was absolutely amazing, and with my mom's binoculars, it was really easy to get into the opera. Plus, there are prompts on the back of the seat in front of you, with English, so you can read it quickly and then be captured by the beautiful singing. Renee Flemming was absolutely amazing as Violetta. I seriously can't wait to go to another...me and my friends are planning to go see La Boheme.
Thursday was another day from Hell. Seriously. We had this long and extremely frustrating physics lab to do, that took approximately 3 and a half hours to complete. And we had already done a truckload of the data in school. That's how long the thing was. I was about to start crying on the phone with Ash and Stina, because there was just way too much stuff to do. On top of that, I had more work than the two of them combined: a Am. History paper and a PowerPoint for Physics, math homework, and make-up work for being absent on Monday and Tuesday. It was not fun at all, and I ended up going to bed at 2:07 in the morning. It all paid off, I guess, because I got the highest mark in the class on my paper. Still, I didn't sleep though.
Yesterday was Halloween. Happy Halloween, you guys. School was boring, followed by the Harvest Happening. It's this whole big social where the seniors put on skits. First there was the Hill Jeopardy, where various Hill stereotypes. They had a "punk poseur," the really nasty seniors. They're the elitists, the ones that look down upon everyone else. Well, FYI, ALL punks are posers. I don't care what you say, you're still following a trend. There ya go for conformity. Taking away one type of conformity just for another type. All humans are stereotypes. Get over it. *rolls eyes* Oh please. There was a "You Know You're a Hell Girl When..." and "Senior Verses Freshman." Then there was the prom skit that the teachers put on, which was overall hysterical.
This was following by Joe coming over to carve the Christine/Joe pumpkin! It was so gross...pumpkin guts all over the place, and my boyfriend shoving them right in my face...but the pumpkin came out really cool. We made a cat face, and used the triangle punched out for the eyes to attach ears to the top of our pumpkin. One word: aweeesommme. Then we watched Bring It On and spent some quality time together. I swear, I love him so much...:)
I might see Joe again today...Sti's at a wedding in Connecticut, and everyone is pretty busy. I'll catch you all later. :)
